Q+A

  • Genuine ISO management certifications are issued by a certifier who, in the UK, has been UKAS approved and uses the UKAS logo. There are three ways of checking the certificates are genuine:

    1. Go to the UKAS site cert check service.

      UKAS CertCheck - Verify Accredited Management System Certificates

    2. Get a copy of the organisation certificate and check for the UKAS logo and that it is within the expiry date. You may also find it worth checking the scope statement on the certificate.

    3. Contact the issuing certifier and check that the ISO certification is valid. Some certifiers have a search facility on their website.

    The same approach can be applied to a number of other ISO certification like ISO 13485 and ISO 14001.

  • Typically, a small business of fewer than 30 people can use Winning Solutions Ltd to generate the documents in one month for stage 1 assessment. Then the management system needs to operate for three months to the build the records before the second and final ISO 9001 assessment.
